The Laver Cup is an exciting team competition between Europe and the rest of the world that features 12 top ranked players on the men’s tour. The event is named after Australian legend Rod Laver, who dominated tennis in the 1960s. Contested over three days, the Laver Cup comprises three singles and one doubles match each day. At the first two editions, in Prague in 2017 and Chicago in 2018, Team Europe, led by Björn Borg of Sweden, prevailed over Team World, which was captained by his great rival of the 1970s and 1980s, John McEnroe.
